Overview

About the Project

The Smart Solar Irrigation System is an automated, solar-powered robot that continuously monitors soil moisture and waters crops only when they are dry. This targeted approach significantly reduces water wastage and manual labor in farming

It also features a smart water tank that uses sensors to automatically refill itself from a well whenever water levels drop. Powered entirely by solar energy, it provides a reliable and sustainable irrigation solution for rural areas

What It Does

Automatic Irrigation

Continuously monitors soil moisture levels and automatically activates a water pump to irrigate the plants when the soil becomes dry

Motor-Driven Robotic Movement

Utilizes a mobile robotic platform that physically moves through the agricultural field to monitor and water crops

Smart Tank Refilling

Uses sensors to detect low water levels and automatically pumps refill water from a well into the tank, while also preventing overflow

Solar-Powered Operation

Both the mobile irrigation robot and the water tank management system are powered entirely by renewable solar energy
